  • Brandon Myers

    PASTOR/ELDER

In the Lord’s providential kindness, Brandon first heard the gospel of Jesus Christ from his mother and father, extended family, and many other brothers and sisters in his parent’s local church. When he was a boy, the Lord convicted Brandon of his sin and led him to repent and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and salvation. He was baptized a few years later within the church he grew up. Brandon is blessed to be married to Kaiti, his wonderful wife, and God has granted them two daughters and three sons. A few of Brandon’s favorite verses are Romans 5:6-11, Ephesians 2, and 1 Peter 3:18. Brandon thanks God for and loves the rare unity in the truth the Lord has blessed our church family with and prays it only deepens and continues. He prays we faithfully strive to be and make disciples of King Jesus according to God’s Word and to God’s glory.

  • Joe C.

    PASTOR/ELDER

Joe was 26 years old when the Lord graciously opened his eyes to the truth of the gospel. Just prior to that, Joe became increasingly convicted of his sin, yet he still didn’t have a clear understanding of what Jesus Christ did for him on the cross. In God’s kindness, He brought a friend into Joe’s life to share the biblical gospel with him. This is when Joe first understood the severity of his own sin before a Holy God and his desperate need for a Savior. Joe’s eyes were opened to the fact that his past, present, and future sins were all paid for by Christ on the cross and there was nothing he can do to earn or maintain salvation. A little later Joe was baptized after his conversion. Joe has been married to Chey since 2010 and is the father to Sofia Grace, Lia Faith, Priscilla Joy, Lydia Love, & Joseph Orlando.

Joe has a passion for reaching the lost with the gospel. His favorite verses are Romans 6: 17-18, Ephesians 2:8-9, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and Acts 20:24.

Joe especially loves the authenticity of our church family–our desire to be rooted in God’s Word, grounded in sound doctrine and good theology. He is praying for our church to be built upon the truth of the gospel, sanctified by the Holy Spirit, and upheld by our Chief Cornerstone Jesus Christ.

  • Rashard McMillian

    PASTOR/ELDER

Rashard first heard the gospel through the local church when he was growing up, but the Lord convicted him concerning his sin and need to repent and trust in Christ alone later in life as a young adult. and he was baptized shortly after. He has been married to Sewit since May 14, 2011 and together they have five children (Sara, Jude, Eleanor, Rachel, and Benjamin).

Though he loves all of God’s Word, if he had to choose just one of his favorite passages it would be Psalm 119:9-11. Rashard especially loves the gospel centered preaching about our church family and is praying for God to add souls to this local church and that his name will be glorified through this local church.

Outside of the Bible, some authors and books that have helped him grow in his Christian faith include: “The MacArthur Study Bible”, "The Mortification of Sin" by John Owen, and "The Doctrine of Repentance" by Thomas Watson. Some other authors are A.W. Pink, R.C. Sproul, J.C. Ryle, Paul Washer, and Voddie Baucham.

Paul has been married to Pam since 1980, and he is the father to Brandon (Kaiti), Natalie (Matt), and Trevor (Rachel). He has two granddaughters and six grandsons.

Paul’s favorite verses in God’s Word include 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Psalm 86:11. Paul especially loves that we are a gospel proclaiming church and is praying for God’s blessing on us.

Pray that Paul would grow in his love for and dependence upon Christ.

    Some of Stephen’s favorite verses are Isaiah 43:1-4, Romans 6:11, 2 Corinthians 3:5, and 1 John 4:10.

Stephen has been deeply blessed by the mutual love and encouragement of the saints and is grateful to the one and only Triune God for the church’s hunger for the Word and their commitment to the Biblical truths summarized in Reformed theology. He prays that Christ would build his church and that God would be supremely glorified above all names.

Claude was married to his wonderful wife Brenda, who has recently gone to be with the Lord, for 54 years. They have two grown children and five grandchildren (three grandsons and two granddaughters) and a feisty dog named Joy.

  • Jamie F.

    DEACON

Jamie has been married to his wife since 2015. God has blessed them with three children: a daughter and two sons. He first heard the gospel of Jesus from his brother in his early 20's and by God’s grace he was convicted of the Lordship of Christ and repented of his sins and trusted Christ alone in 2010. He was baptized shortly after. A few of Jamie’s favorite verses are Romans 8:1-2 and Corinthians 12:4-8a.

Jamie praises God for what He is doing through our church and prays it only grows and continues for God's glory. Two examples of this is the faithful preaching of God's Word each Sunday and that our congregation has genuine care for each other.

  • Sergio S.

    DEACON

Sergio has been married to his wife since 2010. God has blessed them with five children (two of which have gone on to be with the Lord). By God’s grace Sergio heard the gospel of Christ and the Lord led him to conviction of and repentance of his sins. He trusted in Christ alone for salvation and was baptized shortly thereafter. Some of his favorite Bible verses are: Romans 7:15, Deuteronomy 8:17-18, Proverbs 30:7-8; and Psalm 127:1-2

What does Sergio especially love about Christ The King? “Something very important to us is that sometimes you get to know people for years but you do not see a posture of confession. Some Christians are unwilling to own their humanity, failures, struggles and sins; or at the very least, talk about past failures. There is a lack of confession among many. So it has been a blessing to talk to men who are willing to own up to their mistakes. When we talk, we talk about Biblical and family matters before we talk about secondary things (sports, hobbies, etc.).”

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

- Romans 5:8
