Andy Stanley: A Legacy of Compromise

For years now, it has been clear to every Christian with an ounce of biblical discernment that the "ministry" of influential "evangelical pastor" Andy Stanley has been greatly compromised. Stanley is known for his foolish though clever sounding commendation that promotes worldly unbiblical ideas.

Here is just another example of Stanley's known compromise by Alan Shlemon--a seasoned apologist and author in his excellent piece: "Assessment of Andy Stanley's Unconditional Conference". Shlemon's ministry has and is marked by a very generous winsome approach that does not compromise truth and is something we all should aspire to walk in (and if we are all honest could probably all grow in). Be blessed by Shlemon's work and mark and avoid Stanley and those who follow him as those who might sound clever and claim to be Christians but not exalt the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible. Tragically many "churches" will likely follow Stanley down this foolish evil path. He and those like him need to repent and have been disqualified from Christian ministry (though this disqualification was years ago). If you want to look more into Stanley's "ministry" check out where Stanley is clearly ashamed of God's word and wickedly calls Christians to "Unhitch from the Old Testament" . This is at best dumb, unhelpful and misleading but it is also blasphemous and very sinful to edit or diminish God's Holy Word.

Honestly though I praise God when false teachers and wolves like Stanley show you their true colors (and so should all of us!). God will and already has used this to strengthen His true blood bought church. And God will use it to help His people promote faithful unashamed ministry to His glory. May more wolves be outed and show their fangs as the spirit of the age continues to pressure them to compromise and twist Scripture in order to bless sinful desires. The true gospel of Jesus Christ the light of the world shines all the more brightly and God gets all the more glory in a backdrop of greater darkness. Soli Deo Gloria.
